Ideation and design (With Nadja Häfliger)
My responsibility was to conceptualize and design a magazine that seamlessly combined the two publications into a cohesive entity. Through brainstorming sessions and creative thinking, Nadja Häfliger and I developed a strategic approach to integrate the two CDs while ensuring the magazine maintained a consistent and visually appealing aesthetic. By merging design elements, harmonizing typography, color schemes, and layout styles, we successfully created a visually unified magazine.

Advisement in layout meetings
To ensure the magazine met the requirements and expectations of HEKS’s management and board, I actively participated in layout meetings. Drawing on my design expertise, I provided valuable advice and recommendations on layout decisions, aiming to create a user-friendly reading experience while maintaining the integrity of the brand. Through close collaboration with the client, I ensured that their vision was realized through effective and engaging layouts.

Design of information graphics and layout variations
As part of the magazine design process, I created information graphics that visually enhanced the content and improved reader comprehension. These graphics were meticulously designed to convey complex data and concepts in a clear and visually appealing manner. Additionally, I explored various layout variations to add visual interest and optimize the magazine’s readability.

Production and quality assurance
Throughout the production phase, I closely supervised image selection, editing, and the overall printing process. Ensuring the highest quality was a top priority. I collaborated with photographers, illustrators, and the print team to enhance the visual impact of the images and ensure their compatibility with print specifications. By meticulously overseeing the production process, I guaranteed that the final product met superior quality standards and aligned with the magazine’s vision in two languages.

Handover
After a successful launch of the magazine, my role involved smoothly transitioning the project to HEKS’s marketing department. This included providing comprehensive documentation, style guides, and assets that would facilitate the ongoing management and maintenance of the magazine. By ensuring a seamless handover, I empowered the HEKS marketing team to continue building upon the foundation established during the initial launch.
